Lo4/Lo5 M3 : Justify how new audiences can be targeted by the new product

I have decided to distribute this app on multiple devices ranging from smartphones, tablets, and smart TV's. This is because my product is a variation of a music streaming software, which is most commonly used on these devices to access music from all across the globe. By distributing this on application stores on these devices, my app becomes accessible to a wider target audience. The app can be featured on the trending tab and be found in specific genres on the App Store. Meaning it can be targeted towards users who enjoy content that is similar to other apps that are our competitors.

Lo5 Evaluating the negative impact of my product

Within this report, I will be critically evaluating how my proposed product may have any negative effects on my target audience. I W ill discuss the possible negative effects the consistent use of my product could have on my target audience and other consumers. Plus, I will also explain how I will avoid and prevent these negative effects from damaging my target audience. Before we finish, I will explain any key problems that my product could have on society as well as many key passive audience theorists that could effect my audience.  Firstly, by including a messaging and networking system into my app. I may have allowed access to Trolls, bully's, and bot accounts that could effect how some users access my app. Many of these things are prevalent problems that plague SoundCloud and YouTube to this day and ruin the experience for most users on the apps. By allowing trolls and bully's on my app, I risk ruining the experience for a majority ...

Lo5: Evaluation of feedback

Evaluation of feedback: After listening to Anne's feedback from my presentation, and after  Reflecting on the answers from the survey, I learnt that people thoroughly understood my presentation and think that my product would be a success even if they wouldn't use it themselves personally.  However, some of Anne Doncaster's feedback, I have decided that when designing my product in the future, I will ensure to add more variation to the content and design for the app. I will need to include more features that would appeal to a wider target audience and ensure more people have a reason to use my app. One way I can do this would be including a messaging feature that can allow users to network while using the app. I could also include a profile viewing feature, similar to Spotify's 'Friend activity' feature, that allows users to see what their friends are listening to and check out their playlists. Including this in my app will offer more interactivity for the users...

Lo5: Feedback from group

LO5: Feedback from group Some viewers of my presentation also agree with her as they had similar criticism for my product when reviewing it on my survey. A lot of my piers praised my product idea, but also shared some criticism and what may be an obstacle when I am marketing my product. One comment that showed up multiple times stated that their would be 'a lot of competition' in the music streaming service market.

Lo5: Feedback Anne Doncaster

LO5: Feedback Anne Doncaster The main feedback I gathered from her comments was that I needed to include networking features, in the form of messages and group chats, into my app that could allow communication between users. This would allow users to work together to form user generated content together. By doing this, I will make my app more connected linking to Marshall McLuhan's 'Global village' theory that he proposed in his book 'understanding media: the extensions of man"(1964) which suggested that one day we would live in a  "global village"  due to advancements in technology. Furthermore, it would give users a bigger reason to use my app for content creation.  She also stated that I should take advantage of Tik Tok when advertising and marketing my product. The constant stream of user generated content in the form of remixes, dances, and memes can be used to market my app using below the line Marketing methods. Marketing using these tactics will m...

Lo5: prototype and wireframe

LO5: Prototype and wireframe designs  This recording off my prototype shows how users would navigate my app and how they would access each page. I made sure that it would be simple and easy to navigate, as to ensure users do not get confused when exploring the app for the first time. To do this, I used universal signs and icons for some of my buttons to ensure that users from all across the world can use the app with ease. For example: The obtuse triangle icon or x icon are simple icons that can direct the user off a page easily.
